Tenth grade.

Then what did you do when you got out of school?

I just went to work.

Where did you work first?

Merchants Delivery.

What did you do?

I was helper on a truck and part-time mechanic; mechanic helper.

How long did you work for them?

I imagine about 2 years.

Then what did you do?

I went into the Navy.

What did you do in the Navy?

Yeoman and seaman.

How long were you in the Navy?

Three years.
