Je viens de recevoir cela. Au dela d'un style un tantinet prétentieux, Weisberg restera une légende de la recherche JFK
:

The Dean of JFK Assassination researchers, Harold Weisberg passed away Thursday of natural causes.

He was a former newspaper and magazine writer, a Senate investigator, and an intelligence and political analyst. His "Whitewash" series of books, exhaustive accounts of the evidence in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy written beginning in the 1960s, laid the groundwork for the many works by both historians and researchers writing on the case through the subsequent years.

These archives represent a lifetime acquisition of materials on the assassination of President Kennedy, over a quarter of a million government records that he successfully sued the US Government through the Freedom of Information Act to acquire. He also collected documents on the Martin Luther King, Jr. assassination. Weisberg was instrumental to both the House Select Committee and New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison during their investigations of the JFK assassination.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian. Information on services will be forthcoming.

Triste nouvelle et paix à son âme.

Je ne connais pas trop l’histoire des chercheurs mais j’ai l’impression que le travail de Weisberg a compté. Ceux qui sont intéressés peuvent trouver sur history-matters le témoignage d’Harold Weisberg, interrogé par Jim Garrison devant le grand jury de la Nouvelle-Orleans.

Harold Weisberg a été de ceux qui ont d'abord crû que Garrison tenait quelque chose à la Nouvelle-Orléans, mais qui ont vite déchanté quand ils ont vu quelle tournure prenait l'enquête du DA de New Orleans...

Weisberg vivait près de Frederick, Md, dans les environs de Baltimore-Washington. Voici un article publié dans le journal local et dédié à la mémoire du patriarche des chercheurs...
