ARRB

Assassination Records Review Board : an independent committee set up by Congress after the passing of an act ordering the gathering and release of all files related to John Kennedy's death (known as the 1992 John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act, or JFK Act), as well as their transfer to the National Archives.

The role of this agency is to review the files considered to be too sensitive or confidential to be released to the public. The ARRB is comprised of 5 history, law and archive specialists. Private donations are also taken into account and added to the government archives.

The documents gathered by the ARRB are accessible to the public at the US National Archives.
