June 19621 June 1962: Lee and Marina Oswald leave Moscow Lee Harvey Oswald and Marina leave Moscow and are assisted in meeting their travel expenses by a loan of $435.71 from the U.S. Department of State. 26 June 1962: Oswald interrogated by FBI Lee Harvey Oswald is interviewed by agents of the FBI. The report of this interview describes him as arrogant and unwilling to discuss the reasons why he has gone to the Soviet Union. Oswald denies that he was involved in Soviet intelligence activities and promises to advise the FBI if Soviet representatives ever communicated with him. He'll be interviewed again on August 16, 1962
