A Cuban exile and close friend of
David Ferrie, he died a few hours only after him on
February 22, 1967, while
Jim Garrison was trying to have him testify in
Clay Shaw's trial. He had his head split open -probably by a machete- and a bullet in his heart.
According to some researchers, he was one of JFK's assassins, acting for the
John Birch Society.
Anthony Summers thinks Del Valle was the leader of Florida's Free Cuba Committee, which had ties with Florida mobsters.
