A former captain in the French army and OAS activist.
Some have put him in the heart of a theory about
John F. Kennedy's assassination, from a CIA document released in 1977 which told of his being in Dallas on
November 22, 1963. But it appears that the Frenchman arrested and expelled on that day was in fact Michel Mertz, a man hired by the French intelligence service to infiltrate the OAS, and who would have later turned to drug traffic.
According to Souêtre, Mertz was used to using his name as an alias.
